The Grove is part of the largest family-owned and run hotel group in
the UK. We have a commitment to friendly, personal service and a
resistance to overbearing corporate direction. Our other hotels, the
five star Athenaeum in London's Piccadilly, the four-star Runnymede on
the Thames near Windsor, and Greengarden House, our serviced apartments
off Oxford Street, are one-offs, not me-too outposts of a faceless
chain.

Our values People As employers, we will provide a stimulating and
ethical environment.

We will encourage everyone to express their views and be respectful and
understanding towards each other's needs.

We believe in fair recruitment, two-way communication and will continue
to invest in training and development.

Together we will take pride in our staff facilities and the operational
efficiency of our back of house areas.

We will consistently look after our guests with genuine hospitality. We
will continually seek innovative and valuable feedback from our guests
and staff.

We will achieve the highest possible standards by maintaining, evolving
and investing in our guest facilities.

Business We believe in conducting our business in an ethical manner.
We will develop and grow the business using a thorough understanding of
how and why our guests use our facilities.

We will have efficiently produced information that is timely, accurate
and meaningful, with appropriate data capture and controls.

We should achieve an equitable return on investment.

Our guest rooms and suites range from the luxurious to the truly
palatial. Many have views over the formal gardens and golf course and
most have a terrace or balcony. All are equipped with 42 inch plasma
television screens, Broadband Internet access, splendidly stocked mini
bars, air-conditioning and of course room service is always available.
All just 40 minutes from central London.

German Object Artist Volker Kühn must have been pleasantly surprised
when The Grove's interior designer, Martin Hulbert, happened to drop in
to his exhibition at London 's Plus One Plus Two Gallery... and
spontaneously purchased the entire collection of over 200 pieces. Now
displayed in guest rooms, corridors and throughout the mansion, Kühn's
work is best described as 'a visual pun to intrigue the viewer and
reward with the joy of solving a riddle'. Look out for his homage to
works by other artists near the Library, his take on the business world
displayed in the Meetings and Events area, and his love of giraffes
around the mansion main staircase...and choose your favourite from the
one which, after a moment of intrigue, rewards you with the broadest
grin.

To link the interiors of The Grove to the wider landscape, architect
Michael Balston picked up on the original designs of the 17th century
and created a sympathetic 21st century garden. With his idea of the
perfect garden being full of interconnected ideas, repeated rhythms and
rich planting - like a Bach fugue - the Formal Gardens, Sunken Box
Garden, Herbaceous Border and Walled Garden here at The Grove are a
testament to his inspiration and talent.

The great outdoors has inspired some great outdoor sculptures from both
sides of the Atlantic on display in the grounds at The Grove. American-
born sculptor Gregory Ryan has designed the magnificent five panel
aluminium Water Wall at the entrance to Sequoia as an accurate
reproduction of the sea off the coast of Deauville, France. The piece
embodies his signature technique of replicating dynamic surface
patterns found in nature. Meanwhile, Somerset-based Neil Wilkin's
trademark elegant glass pieces were specially commissioned by The
Grove. The series of Sun Catcher's anchored in ponds on The Glasshouse
terraces sparkle and twinkle when catching rays of sunlight. The magic
is watching them appear to dance graciously when in fact they are
immobile.

Perspex boxes containing hundreds of butterflies. Feathers, farmyard
animals and rubber ducks at home in a series of Perspex console tables.
Innovative installations from broken household objects. The displays at
The Grove created by Fox Linton Associates with James Armstrong are
fresh thinking and novel, surprising and wittily irreverent
