Restaurant Johannes Vermeer, formerly the Swarttouw Sigar factory, we serve you our

The Zalwin Hotel Group is an expanding

Hotel Johannes Vermeer is a new hotel and
boasts 25 rooms, including one bridal / business suite with jacuzzi.
The rooms have been furnished and
decorated according to the latest modern standards and offer facilities for both business
traveller and tourist. All rooms feature color television with video, a phone with
data-port and a luxueus bathroom with hairdryer, shower and toilet.
All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning.
The buildings of the old cigar factory
are linked to each other in such a way that each room has a special view of the city of
Delft. On the front side, for instance, you have a view on one of the many canals of
Delft. On the rear side you have a stunning view of the 3 churches of Delft.
The room where the clerck used to have
his office has been turned into a nice cocktail lounge.
On the ceiling of the Ketelzaal (also kettle room), 79 rare kettles are hanging from the
ceiling. Unique about the restaurant is that the complete work of Johannes Vermeer is on
display. Unfortunately the paintings have all been re-created. The well known artist
Barrington Bramley has spent seven years to complete Johannes Vermeers work. Feel free to
roam around the restaurant to take a good look at these paintings and don not miss the
-Meisje met de Parel- the girl with the pearl earring-, who is keeping an eye on the Grand
Café.
